Backstreet is an Autobot with the role of Lookout who transforms between his robot mode and his race car mode.  He is very temperamental, rapidly switching between modes (according to his Tech Spec).  Backstreet belongs to a group called Triggerbots named so because these types of Transformers have a button on them that when pressed causes a weapon to spring out.

The Generation 1 Backstreet was released in 1988.
