Hoist is an Autobot with the function of maintenance who transforms between his robot mode and his crane truck mode.   He maintains a strict maintenance schedule for the Transformers because he knows they must be at their best when they battle the Decepticons. 

The Generation 1 Hoist was released in 1985.
