Bomb-Burst is a Decepticon with the role of Predator who transforms between his robot mode and his vehicle mode. He belongs to the group called Pretenders because he (as well as the other Decepticon Pretenders) disguises his robot form inside a shell resembling a non-robot creature. Bomb-Burst displays many characteristics of "a vicious, vile automated vampire" (according to his Tech Spec) such as his aversion to daylight and terrorizing others at night. He also uses his metal fangs to puncture and drain the fuel from his Autobot victims.

The Generation 1 Bomb-Burst was released in 1988.
