Slog is a Decepticon with the role of Combat Artist. He belongs to the group called Monser Pretenders because he (as well as the other Monster Pretenders) disguises his robot form inside a shell resembling a non-robot monster. Without his shell Slog is one of the six Monster Pretenders (along with Icepick, Birdbrain, Bristleback, Scowl and Wildfly) that combine to form Monstructor, serving as the upper body. He is an artist on the battlefield and sculpture is his specialty. Using Autobots as his material "he can whittle an Autobot into an abstract wreck within minutes" (according to his Tech Spec).

The Generation 1 Slog was available in 1989.
