Powerglide is an Autobot with the role of Warrior who transforms between his robot mode and his plane mode.  He is one of the Minibots, named so because of the small size of the Transformers belonging to this group.  Powerglide is very talented when flying in the air and tries to get others to appreciate this by constantly showing off.  He is also proud of the fact that he is one of the few Autobots who can fly (according to his Tech Spec).

The Generation 1 Powerglide was released in 1985.
