Red Hot is an Autobot who transforms between his robot mode and his fire truck mode. He belongs to a group called the Micromasters who are split up into different types of Patrols (four Transformers in each patrol), Red Hot belonging to the Rescue Patrol (along with Fixit, Seawatch and Stakeout). This team, whose role is Search and Rescue, has all the necessary tools to give aid in the worst emergency situation. Red Hot is equipped with fire-retardant chemical foam (according to their Tech Spec).

The Generation 1 Red Hot was released in a pack of four along with Fixit, Seawatch and Stakeout (all Generation 1 as well) in 1989.
