Air Raid is one of the five Aerialbots who combine to form Superion.  He is an Autobot with the function of Warrior.  Air Raid is the “most fearless Aerialbot” (according to his Tech Spec) who prefers to fly into a group of Decepticons rather than shoot at them long range.

Besides forming an arm or leg of Superion, Air Raid also transforms between his robot mode and jet mode.

The Generation 1 Air Raid and the other Aerialbots were released individually in 1986.  They were also available in the Superion gift set during the same year.
