Blitzwing is a Decepticon with the role of Ground and Air Commander.  As a Triple Changer he transforms between his robot mode, his tank mode and his jet mode very quickly making him highly dangerous.  This is reflected in Blitzwing’s motto which is: “Destroy first, think later” (according to his Tech Spec).

The Generation 1 Blitzwing was released in 1985.  It was based on a figure from the Diaclone toy line by Takara.
