Sideswipe is an Autobot who transforms between his robot mode and his car (Lamborghini Countach) mode.  He is the twin brother of Sunstreaker, identical in many ways but less cold blooded than him.

 In his role of Warrior Sideswipe is extremely courageous and loves “a fight to the finish” (according to his Tech Spec).  He also has the ability to fly for a couple of  minutes with the use of his rocket backpack.

The Generation 1 Sideswipe was released in 1984 without a rub symbol or with a symbol from 1985 onwards.
