Seawatch is an Autobot who transforms between his robot mode and his vehicle mode. He belongs to a group called the Micromasters who are split up into different types of Patrols (four Transformers in each patrol), Seawatch belonging to the Rescue Patrol (along with Fixit, Red Hot and Stakeout). This team, whose role is Search and Rescue, has all the necessary tools to give aid in the worst emergency situation. "Seawatch has over-the-horizon radar and towing capability" (according to their Tech Spec).

The Generation 1 Seawatch was released in a pack of four along with Red Hot, Fixit and Stakeout (all Generation 1 as well) in 1989.
