Grapple is an Autobot with the function of Architect.  He takes pride in his architectural work with his buildings on Cyberton being considered pieces of art.  If his works are destroyed in battle he is likely to be deeply depressed.

Grapple transforms between his robot mode and his crane mode.  When in crane mode he “can liftup a 35-ton object and position it with precision and grace” (according to his Tech Spec).

The Generation 1 Grapple was released in 1985.  It was remolded from the Transformers figure Inferno.
