Skydive is one of the five Aerialbots who combine to form Superion.  He is an Autobot with the function of Air Warfare Specialist.  Skydive loves to read about the science behind aerial warfare.  With the the ability to mimic the flying motion of anything he sees, he “may be the most skilled flyer of all Transformers” (according to his Tech Spec).

Besides forming an arm or leg of Superion, Skydive also transforms between his robot mode and his jet mode.

The Generation 1 Skydive and the other Aerialbots were released individually in 1986.  They were also available in the Superion gift set during the same year.
