Scavenger is a Decepticon who transforms between his robot mode and his steam shovel mode.  He is one of the six Constructicons (along with Bonecrusher, Hook, Long Haul, Mixmaster and Scrapper) who combine to form Devastator, Scavenger transforming into the right arm of the giant robot.

With the function of Mining and Salvage, Scavenger is continually digging in search of valuables because he feels that this is how he can prove his importance and worth to the other Constructicons.  Though what they really value is that his shovel has various types of sensors which can locate fuels and metals (according to his Tech Spec).

The Constructicons were released individually in 1985.  They were also available together in the Devastator gift set during the same year.
